LGBTQ+ Smokers & Their Partners Who Want to Quit Smoking

Purpose

This study is about understanding attempts to quit cigarette smoking in couples. Your participation will help determine better treatment efforts for couples who smoke that want to quit. The study is being funded by the California Tobacco Related Disease Prevention Program.

If you are LGBTQ+ and a cigarette smoker, with a partner who also smokes, and both want to quit smoking, you may both be eligible to participate in a research study! This study is remote, and compensation is available for eligible participants who complete the study.

What's involved?

Study length
  • 35 days of smartphone-based surveys.

  • A Follow-up survey at 2-months and 5-months.

  • Two video chat interviews

  • First Video Chat Interview (1.5 hrs)

  • Second Video Chat Interview (1.5 hrs)

  • 2-month Follow Up Survey

  • 5-month Follow Up Survey

  • Daily Smart Phone Surveys (35 days)
